NETSPANNER

NetSpanner is a free standalone Multicast test tool for Windows, Linux and Android. It can be run multiple times on a single machine and allows for both Unicast and Multicast to be tested for verification. With the ability to bind the sender and receiver to different interfaces, you can test complete connectivity through your network from a single PC.

NetSpanner version 2 is an updated instance of the original that aims to bring a more ready to use application that can operate across multiple platforms.

Simply download, extract, and run the NetSpanner application on a supported Windows, Linux or Android Operating System.

UDP DATA SENDER AND RECEIVER

The UDP Data Sender is used to transmit Multicast or Unicast packets onto the network. These packets can be configured as the user requires for network troubleshooting.

NetSpanner version 2 now provides the Auto Data feature, allowing for additional information to be recovered on the receiver side. Data can now be sent with Packet ID and Sequence Numbers so that lost or out of sequence packets can be determined on the receiver end.

The user can set the Instance ID using the UDP Data Sender form, to identify the sender where multiple NetSpanner instances are sending on a Common Multicast address.

The UDP Data Receiver allows for received packets to be displayed on the user interface for Multicast or Unicast traffic.

Data formats to be displayed can be set to Auto Data (as configured by the sender), Hex or Text.
